Review:

MINDBLOWING & HONEST MUSIC!

Take The Earth Beneath Us, really smashed out a great work.
Digging deep into my library, they have a lot of elements, reminding to an old
favorite band, called "Dead Kings". I really waited for a new release by them, but
probably i will not have to wait any longer. TTEBU already did, what Dead Kings
could have done on their next release, which will sadly never come.
Heavy impacted riffing, layered with deep growls, filled with honest lyrics.
Melodic progressions, well fitting overlays between the riffs and a well used clean voice giving the 5 tracks a very original touch!
I see a lot of potential coming from these guys, hoping they go on, working as hard as they did on these tracks.
Also i wish to see a full length this year. Talented guys, which i would like to see on stage with bands from today, such as Counterparts or Adaliah.

Don't miss this ep!
Thanks for hitting me up guys!

Review:

Across The Obsession only do what they want!
These guys have fun in what they're doing and they are showing this at their best, at their Debut Album
entitled "We See What We Want"!
Hailing from the Country of the most surprising bands, these young Russians really created everything new and brought the heavy scene to a new era!

Starting as a instrumental band in lack of a singer, just to show what is possible as a band with incomplete line up. Yet a singer, wasn't missed on the old records, now they just perfected what they were working at. Also they're giving out the instrumental version of the album, for those who like to enjoy the musical side of them.

We See What We Want contains 12 captive songs of emotion and creativity.
Looking back to their old instrumental EP "The Road", these guys just changed the instrumental work a little bit, to come together with the vocals.
Melodic and technical guitar licks all over the songs. Progressions in vein of BTBAM and showing a softer side of putting breakdowns into the rhythm guitar, these are only some words to describe the sound of them.
The vocals are neither screamed, nor shouted or growled. They sing - in their own way. Emotive, yet angerfilled yelling could explain it a little.
All in all, this Album must be heard, to say you like it or not!
A catchy band and the most original sound/music i've ever heard. One of the most talented and hard working bands i know. Get them bigger and show some love at Facebook, Myspace or anywhere else!

Interview #18: Our City Skyline

Our City Skyline, are a band, who really look deep inside their hearts, before composing a new song.
Their new EP will be released very soon.
So here a little interview, to read about it and the band.
PS: i really recommend this band, since they are one of ten my favorite bands, i know more then 5000 bands by the way...

So here we go, finally meet Our City Skyline!

Who are your and where are you from?
I'm Esai of Our City Skyline. I play guitar from Idaho

What brought you to start this band?
Well we had another band we had a bit of success with, but we wanted to cut ties with it so we could write and play what we wanted to.

You guys have a carrying, emotive and yet positive sound, explain us, what moved you guys to this?
we all love positive music, our music helps us through rough times. We just like to be able to show that there is another side.

Also explain how you call your sound yourselves, genre and what you sound like.
Well I guess you could say Progressive Hardcore or Progressive Metalcore. We have a ton other elements though. We.don't like to pigeon hole ourselves.

You guys are currently working on your next release, an EP, could you tell us about it?
Well its easily the best thing we have done. It felt like as a band we had hit our stride. In the studio with Ryan from Rain City Audio just was a great time. And he pushed really hard to get this the way it is. Also we are getting it mixed by Ryan Morgan, the guitar player of Misery Signals.
How many songs will be included, will it be available as physical copy, maybe you want to unveil us the name of it too? The EP has 7 songs. It will be released digitally, on CD, and we are looking into pressing vinyl and then the name we will announce soon!

What are your lyrical themes on the EP and in general?
Thats more of a question for our vocalist. He is the one who handles that stuff!

What are your personal influences?
Personally I am influenced by a lot. Just everything that goes on in my life. Personally bands are stuff like Poison The Well, Crossbearer, Moving Mountains, and Oceana.

Also are there some bands that influence your sound?
Our sound is very influenced by bands like Misery Signals, Oceana, and Poison the Well.

A question beside this all, i currently saw a live set of a hardcore band, whose members kicked the crowd before the stage in their faces. What do you think about it?  Very hardcore isn't it (ironic)?
It's one thing to try to get the crowd going, but thats just disrespectful to people who have literally paid to see you.

What do you guys think about scene and stereotype thinking within the youth of today, isn't it annoying that people get judged by their look and also if they listen to bands that look different?
People should be able to listen to what they want. And as long as they go to shows and support everyone should be accepted. I mean not every persons first Hardcore band they got into was Terror or Madball, so all the older kids need to remember where they came from (don't pretend you never had Atreyu merch) and accept the younger kids so we can keep the scene going

What are your personal favorite bands?

Personally Poison The Well, Underoath, Misery Signals, Oceana and many others. But those are always there.

Do you guys prefer a special lifestyle? Also what do you think about all this peer pressure?
None of us really live a specific lifestyle. To us, if you're a good person, then you're a good person.

What was your favorite concert, and which bands where the best you shared the stage with?
That would easily be Thursday. It was a dream come true to play with Thursday. That band got me into music.

If you could plan a tour yourselves, which bands would be with you guys?
It would be Poison The Well, Misery Signals, and a Beloved reunion

What things are currently in the works beside the EP? Any gigs or tours planned? Maybe some merch?
We are going to be working on some tours. And merch is designed and going to be printed soon!

Anything left to say (to friends, fans or families)?
Thank you for the interview and.thank you to everyone for the support!

From me a big thanks to Esai and the rest of the band, but especially to Esai, for hooking me up with the lastest news on their new EP, and on news of what's going on, the interest in my page and also for taking the time for it.
PS: I'm sorry for the delay, could't post due some reasons of blogspot.

Across The Obsession, is different.
This is a statement, that fits to the most.
ATO play heavy and fresh music.
Technical, progressive, experimental...
These guys were going over everything that has been heard before, to create something new.
So new, that you must have checked them out.

There is actually no band, that can be compared or even set equal with them.
No band!
Across The Obsession, just is different, and this is cool!

Actually, ATO entered their homestudio months ago and worked out something great.
They have been unexperienced yet, but their time will come. Their music is so much addictive!

Finally they posted, that their records are already done.

Here is a little preview to one of their older instrumental songs.
Now they have added vocals and written a lot of new stuff!

A short introduction to these guys:

Tomorrow We Hunt are a small band, yet soo much underrated, hailing from Croatias capital Zagreb.
These guys, play Melodic Hardcore, or Progressive Hardcore with metal influence,... however you want to call it.
And they do it fucking perfect. Vocals, Breakdowns and Tempo in the vein of the old For The Fallen Dreams stuff. Pretty good lows and so awesome melodic parts. This is what i love!

Listen to their whole EP here:

So again a big fucking THANK YOU! to the guys of Tomorrow We Hunt, who actually make so great tunes and give it away for free. This means so much to me and all others. My deepest respect to you guys! I'm looking forward to your new stuff!

Review #28: Glorified! - Realisations

Album: Realisations
Artist: Glorified!
Year: 2011
Origin: Australia
Genre: Progressive Metalcore
For fans of: The Human Abstract, Textures, Aussie Metal

Tracklist:
1. Beauty
2. Modern Fortress
3. Control
4. The Light
5. Darkness
6. Purity
7. Failure to Change
8. Realisations

Hit up the band on Facebook, to get the album!

Review:

Australia, is praised with a lot of great Artists around the Metalcore and Hardcore scene, but Glorified! are definitely a few steps further then all of them, what is affected to the genre and the style of the band.
Most of the bands are Newcomers and this band sounds in their "early years" like a professional metal outfit.

Started playing shows in 2010 and released a debut album already on year later, lets us know, this band knows what they want and they do it fucking great!

Glorified!'s debut release is titled "Realisations" and offers the listener 8 pretty sweet composed tracks, that are completely unexpected.
Using elements from Metalcore and Hardcore and taking a lot of progressions to it, refined with a lot of keys, that could just be a short introduction to the sound of this freshly recognized band.

Modern and classy chug riffs as know from too many bands, that try to sound like Messhuggah just to be "Djent" can be found on this release in a complete different dimension.
Smooth breakdowns followed by keyboard melodies or an progressive guitar lick - this is what you'll find very often, but they all sound different. Pretty rare stuff. The yelling screams and short growls of their signer fit very well, also to not forget the clean parts, that are pretty impressing and give the album kind of a mystic touch.
The CD can be put into the midtempo section, yet there are many riffs that gain a pretty impressing fast speed.
This release should really be checked out be fans of progressive and many guitar solos, those who like it a bit more melodic, and also by all those fans of aussie metal(core)

Glorified are just at the beginning of their career and their future will be pretty huge!

Realisations is in my opinion a bringer of hope to the metal scene, because there are many ways to not just copy sounds. This band shows that creativity, the will to be different are the key to create an own and unique sound. And this one's solid also. These guys love music and exactly know what they want to do!

Check out these Dudes!

Review #27: Constellations - Failure & Consequences [EP]

Album: Failure & Consequences [EP]
Year: 2011
Origin: Berlin/Germany
Genre: Progressive Metalcore/Hardcore

Tracklist:
1. Failure
2. Consequences
3. The Let-Down
4. For The Worse
5. Holding On

Buy here or in iTunes

Review:

Constellations, haling from Berlin, Germany's capital, are a massive addon into the big game called heavy music!
Their 5 track debut EP contains almost everything for a fan of modern progressive Metalcore!
Beginning at the various kind of guitar techniques that are used, such as a lot of fast and clever set sweep licks, between a big load of heavy breakdowns and also used within some catchy guitar solos that are played behind a  a structure of heavy riffs and also used the typical riffing for Metalcore is everything included. They built their songs in a great and catchy structure, what gives a fresh touch into their music!
The drums are hold fast and contain a lot of double bass lines and short double bass parts to speed up the songs.

A well done opening with the intro song called "Failure" which is a 33 second acoustic riff leading into the opener "Consequences" which starts with a very fast sweep lick. This probably is one of the top notch moments on this sadly too short CD. But for a first release of the band this is an impressing start. Also who knows whats coming up from them, in my opinion these guys have what it takes to be an international act!

Review #18: Drown My Day - Forgotten [EP] + Download

Album: Forgotten [EP]
Artist: Drown My Day
Year: 2010

Genre: Progressive Deathcore

1. Intro
2. Nobody Fucks
3. Interlude
4. Forgotten But Not Forgiven
5. Feel Poisoned
6. Tear The Flesh

Review:
Music that gives you the killerfeeling!
Drown My Day are definitely a badn to keep an eye on in the future.
They have had a great start with their first EP. In 2010 they released their second EP entitled "Forgotten" .
This could truly be the soundtrack to a killing spree.
Drown My Day actually have a big fanbase within Poland, but also got mentioned on sites from the United States too.

Forgotten offers Drown My Days fully expanded sound.
Fast and aggressive Deathcore with a lot of catchy parts such as the sweep intro of the song "Forgotten But Not Forgiven".
Deep growls and murderous screams combined with double bass drum lines leading into breakdowns that give you the feeling of stabbing your enemies eyes out.
Another great highlight is the refrain of song six "Tear The Flesh". The words gonna blow out brains and they stuck in the head for quite a while. To cap it all off, these guys put in some nice electric effects.
Overall this release has so much power and it is just a great Death Metal EP. Too bad that this isn't a album. More songs could really round it off.

In my opinion, Drown My Day have a pretty original style. Their vocals aren't as every Deathcore band, they artfully use deep voices and combine it with a not too high throat. Also there are riffs, that are similar to many bands, so probably nothing for haters of similarity within bands. But these guys cleverly put in their sound into these similarities, which make this a unique cd. Definitely worth a listen. For those who like their Deathcore a bot more technical and artistic and also for those, who like their Death Metal more modern!

Spread the word for these dudes!

Interview #8: Jahmbi

These dudes should really get more attraction! 10 years and still unsigned, but the love to music never faded. These guys are a perfect example of having fun at evil and heavy sounding music. Some of the less bands, that don't care about their genre and just play the stuff they want to do - hard stuff, metallic stuff! It's pretty hard for a band to get together with all the tastes of the members, but Jahmbi seem to take this "problem" as an advantage though. They play with all heart and they play it all hard. These guys are real dudes!

Meet my Dudes from Jahmbi!

Q: How did the band get started? Where there reasons?
A: The 3 founding members of Jahmbi (Aaron L., Aaron R. & Adam) met through school & birth. Doing something different with NO limits musicaly has always been a big reason for what we do in Jahmbi.

Q: How would you describe your mighty sound?
A: "Brutal yet Friendly."

Q: Are there bands that influenced your sound?

A: In the beginning it was everything from Mr. Bungle to System Of A Down. Jahmbi is always being influenced by different bands. Dog Fashion Disco, After The Burial & The Black Dahlia Murder have been more recent influences on us, but as indivisuals, the list is HUGE!, we all have our own personal influences.

Q: Your called Jahmbi, weird name for me, but behind this name is this awesome band. Tell us how you came to this name and what it means.
A: The name came from the T.V show Pee-wee's Play House. We decided on the name about 10 years ago in Adam's garage. He worked at a video store and that was a tape he always watched.

Q: Which genre would define your band the most?
A: That has always been a mystery to us. We write our music using so many different styles of music that it's hard to say what we would be called. Experimental Metal has always felt right. It's a mix of everything, like us.

Q: Have you known what kind of music you want to play, before starting the band?
A: Not sure if any of us knew what we wanted musicaly when we started Jahmbi. I think we were all looking for a band that had no limits when it came to writing music."

Q: What do you want to say through your music?
A: Have fun with your music and don't worry about what others think. Also we hope in some way, everyone see's how epic Fred Savage is through our music.

Q: What are your favorite bands? Do they inspire and/or influence your music too?
A: Again, we're inspired by so many bands and music genres in general & Fred Savage.

Q: Where do you get your inspirations, beside to other bands, especially for the lyrics?
A: Lyrics have always came from the theme we chose for each song, whether its about video games, war, vikings, pirates, or anything else we randomly come up with. Rich is an amazing writer so he always adds or writes awesome lyrics to go with the theme of the song.

Q: What are your interests beside the band? Do you guys just do the band or do you work/go to school/study?
A: Becoming Dragon Slayers have been a huge goal for each member.

Q: What things are coming up? News about new releases, new merch, line up changes?
A: We have a new e.p (The Demetalizer) out right now on iTunes & Amazon, we have a 5 day mini California tour coming up at the end of July with two amazing bands (Nekrogoblikon & Ana Kefr) & we're officially working with a new management team (Reel Talk Management). The future is bright for Jahmbi.

Q: Do you guys have played in other bands before?
A: Yes. Rich & Adam have played in a few other projects.

Q: Which bands have shared the stage with you? Name your favorites.
A: Sharing the stage with bands you grew up listening to is always amazing. For example, we were lucky enough to share the stage with The Misfits. Jerry Only was one awesome guy! also our day with GWAR, it doesn't get any more unreal then that.

Q: Are there any bands you would like to see on this page in future? Are there bands you would recommend to FORTHELIONS Promotion or just for taking a listen?
A: Checkout the new wave of young so cal metal/hardcore bands. These kids can play and because of them, so cal will always have the most brootal bands."

Q: What was your sickest show?
A: The response from California Metal Fest 2011 was awesome!"

Q: Which bands would you like to tour with and how would your favorite tour look like?
A: This is a hard question! haha. To many awesome bands to just pick a few."

Q: Any messages left to fans, friends or family?
A: Thank you for the support all these years! Thanks to all the new & older fans for being so active at shows and on our Facebook page. Remember, Jahmbi is still a unsigned band doing everything ourselves. Merch & Music sales are HUGE for us, so please help support us by purchasing our music & merch. Jahmbi is also sponsored by two awesome clothing companies (Loftee Apparel & Berma Clothing), so check them out too! Thank you & we LOVE you all.

Review #14: Dweller - Cut Off From The Universe [EP]

Album: Cut Off From The Universe [EP]
Artist: Dweller
Year: 2011
Origin: Michigan/USA
Genre: Deathcore/Hardcore
For fans of: Carnifex, Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, The Acacia Strain
Rating: 4/5

Tracklist:
1. You Fear We Live
2. No Compromise
3. Repercussions
4. Safety Is A False Hope
5. 40 Virgins
6. Cut Off From The Universe

>> Buy here! <<

Review:
Dweller are a band, who could match up with bands such as Carnifex or Suicide Silence, without losing attraction between the big names. These guys are a pretty active and hard working band, that tries to be on stage as often as possible, to show their energy on the shows. Their first release "Cut Off From The Universe" offers a heavy compilation of songs, that are possibly a must have in the music libraries of any Deathcore lover!
Including 6 Songs, full of heavy and powerful modern Death Metal, this release is definitely a great start for this upcoming Newcomer Deathcore-Act.

Technical and melodic riffing conducted from bone breaking breakdowns or blastbeats as known from band like Whitechapel or Carnifex are this bands standard. Chug riffs and big breakdowns to bang your head along in every single song. The EP contains such an enormous and energetic sound.
A point that has to be spoken, is that this band does not play any guitar solo. Maybe their upcoming stuff will include some, but these guys may know that there are many people, who actually like heavy breakdowns and blastbeat-lines. They just layer these lines with a melody, that is catchy and supernatural. They really fit to the EPs title and give a feeling of being in another dimension or being out of this universe.
To the point dimension, this band really will become big.
I would not wonder when i see this band playing together with their influencing bands or personal favorites.
They definitely have potential.
Actually this EP has no highlight. Almost every single song has it's own heaviness and i can't decide myself a favorite. Be sure to just check out this band if you like the bands posted above!

Dweller will offer you a fucking great release with tunes as sick as your balls will band along with!
Support these dudes and buy merch or their music. They actually have pretty sick merch designs!

Review #11: Our City Skyline - Our City Skyline

Album: Self Titled
Year: 2010

Rating: 10/5*
(*because this is one of my Top 10 Alltime Favorites!)

2. As The Hand Strikes
3. What It Means To Stand
4. Together To The Sea (I)

7. No Relevance

9. The End (III)

Review:

This is the first release from the band and it's a pure masterpiece.
The first song "Ruins" starts with an aggressive riff and leads into a fucking carrying Refrain.
The lyrics part "Set it all ablaze,
will your memories turn to ash?
and with a stare that could bring them to their knees.
Once vivid eyes have now turned pale.
Oh god! How you have changed." totally took me away.
The music is really ambient and dark/depressive and it makes you think! Good work.
A calm, yet really effective opening song, that forces to listen to the next track!

Second song is called "As The Hand Strikes" starts with an half acoustic melody. The song seems to be sad but it's really breathtaking. Blues sounding guitars, keep the listen to the song really smooth and enjoyable. There is not too much distortion, yet the music is heavy and goes into the heart also!

The third song, titled "What It Means To Stand" is similar to the first. The lyrics are perfection.
for example the refrain: "Keep your head above the water
and your hand in mine
Rest assured, I'll protect your heart of gold.
Sleep easy tonight
You can rest those tired eyes.
Tired eyes". What a genius wrote this epic shit?
The song has a lot of melody, that speaks to the heart and a lot of heavier riffs and breakdowns.
Masterpiece.

Up next, on the fourth position in the tracklist is the song "Together To The Sea". It starts with a half acoustic melody, which leads into a wave of great riffs, that let you think your sailing in a sea of despair. The song is kinda lovesong,  played in a depressive flair. Acutally this song helped me to think completely about my past and get over my ex girlfriend. A heart cleaning song. My favorite part of the lyrics is this one:
"we’re drifting away from this earth
as our memory floats above
as our flesh wastes away
wash away our past".

We've reached the middle of the cd. Track five, called "When It Speaks", is a harder song then the others.
Carrying riffs and lyrics, but similar to the other songs. But thats not the problem, i think a band should be proud of their way of playing music, similar songs have positive sides!

Next/sixth song is "The Mirror". The lyrics are perfection again!
"How does it feel to know there's nothing about you that comes from the heart?
There's nothing original.
How does it feel to look in the mirror and know you’re empty and hollow?"
This is just a part. The whole song has lots of more great parts. The guitars and the vocals are synchronized so great in this track. I can't report anything bad on this cd yet!

Seventh song has the name "No Relevance". This song is acceptable, but it does not come along with the part , heard in the songs before. The song has it's moments, but is maybe the only song that isn't that easy to be remembered.

Track eight is and instrumental interlude. The intro to the last song "The End". You don't really get the part, when the interlude leads into the last song, it's more like a long last song. Great work on the instruments here also.

Track nine, "The End". The last song of this cd, sadly.
The Band shows a last time, what they can do! A lot of riffs combined together, build this song!
Melodies, breakdowns all what the heart wants!
A good last song.

This is one of my favorite cds. I really listen to it at least once a day! I totally dig this album, because of the lyrics and perfectly fitting music. It helped me a lot to see over things from my past. So a big fucking thanks to Our City Skyline! I also have the most last.fm scrobbles worldwide on this album i think lol.
This album is a must have for any Melodic Hardcore fan and for fans of Misery Signals, which seemed to be a big influence of this band. But what actually doesn't love, at least like them!

Like these guys on Facebook. And keep an eye out for them, they're working on their next EP at the moment. I'm so stoked on it.

Note: The album has a fucking bad point, i really hate the band for it. It ends. Lol.
This band is so underrated, without a reason! I love them so much!
You might have noticed that i don't have that much critic on the band and album, but what would you do, when you? You also have favorite songs, cds, bands!

Get the lyrics here!

Fucking support! ♥

Promotion #10: Jahmbi

Artist: Jahmbi
Origin: California/USA
Genre: Experimental Metal/Hardcore/Metalcore/Death Metal/Thrash Metal

This band lives over ten years now, and i sadly experienced them this year! But to my luck i found out about them!
Jahmbi is one of the rarest bands i've ever known! Their music can be rated between awesome and heavy! There are no really words to describe their sound, they just do their thing... and they do it fucking good! Metal straight from hell!
No category can describe these guys. They combine almost every single style of music and make it heavy.
If you have payed attention during you classes, you would know the these equations:

Metal + Jazz + Heavyness = Jahmbi
RnB + Metal multiplied with supernatural awesomeness = Jahmbi
Blues - sorrows + Metal + Funk = you guessed it... Jahmbi!

I could list up many crapped equations and the result will always be the same!
They know how to do their shit! Thats why i really respect these guys!
Also they are pretty great to their fans. They really care and do fun with them on Facebook!
A band you should really check out. You really have to experience them yourself guys!!!

Check them out!

Here a great song from their new EP "The Demetalizer". Get it on iTunes!!

Interview #4: Across The Obsession

Across The Obsession, are a band of my friend Vlad, from Russia!
He is also guitarist in the metalcoreact Drops Of Heart.
And as usual this is impressive stuff from the Russian-metalscene! Both bands!

Across The Obsession created a new genre of music in my opinion, their are undefinable!
I came up with the idea to ask Vlad for an Interview with Drops Of Heart (which also will follow) and he suggested me to help him out with this band also!
And i keep my promise!

(A bunch of adore-ful guys, playing excellent music!)

Q: How did you get the band started/what were the reasons?
Vlad: originally Across The Obsession - it's my idea. The project originated in 2008 when in addition to main command Drops of Heart I create and record own tracks.
Evgeny: We wanted a break from the music that we play in the main group.

Q: Tell us about your music/sound/style.
Vlad: I'm not sure I can accurately describe the style of our music. But EP-album, which is now available for free download is simple enough in sound and does not carry anything special. Moreover, all these tracks quite old. But we're almost finished work on their debut full-length album, which we hope give a fuck up. This will be in the spirit of the Adept, Architects and Burden Of A Day, but like all other groups, we do not set yourself limits.
Anatoly: We're playing exactly the music that we like, not forcing yourself in any frame. If we want to insert into the track jazz moment - we'll do it without a shadow of a doubt. If we want to insert the electronics, there will be the same thing - absolute freedom of thought. I will repeat - we play for ourselves, not for stamp. And we hope what we like, like our listeners.

Q: Where do you get your ideas, inspirations for the your music's lyrics and instruments?
Vlad: The inspiration we get from life, from everything that happens in it. Whether it's frustration or joy, even any party be a major basis for the song.
Evgeny: And, of course, the inspiration comes from listening to your favorite artists.
Anatoly: I can say that this is happening all at once. The most unpredictable thing that could ever be - an inspiration. Sometimes, sitting three o'clock on the same text, think, imagine, and nothing happens, and sometimes that just at the time of how you eat ice cream you would ever think of fucking idea for a text or a riff and it's very cool!

Q: Tell us about your band name, what does it mean, where does it come from?
Vlad: I have nothing to tell about it. I don't want Invent some history. Just our whole idea I tried to combine in one sentence.

Q: Which bands are your influences? / Which bands are your personal favorites?
Vlad: All groups in varying degrees influenced me. It's like a squashed butterfly from the past. That is, if I ever have not listened to any group, then perhaps there would be Across The Obsession. Something like that.
Anatoly: I was most influenced by Slipknot. It is with them, I became interested in music not only as an object for listening. After watching Slipknot's concerts, I felt an urge to feel at least to a lesser extent myself in their place! In addition I have a lot of favorite bands that are too long to enumerate, but Slipknot - will always remain for me by some "teachers" in this case.

Q: Do you guys have a message, which shall be said through your music?
Anatoly: All that could say - has been said before us. We want to show his opinion on everything that is happening around our vision, what is happening. Our thoughts we will present both direct and in a totally detached, abstract form, to avoid monotony in our compositions.

Q: What things are coming up? Any news on new stuff, such as music, merch, and so on?
Vlad: The first full length album is expected! Merch and others be only after the album's release.
Anatoly: Our album will be cool - is without a doubt! I now just listen for our demos. And I hope the same thing to happen to you when you hear our final creation!

Q: What was your sickest/best show, what’s your dream venue and which band would you like to tour with and why?
All our sickest show will be after the album, and after we find a bass player. And we want to visit all the cities where us want to see! And in their country and in Western Europe. Well, the dream of all teams - is, of course, a world tour, but to us about it and dream is not necessary.

Q: Any messages left to fans, friends, family?
To fans we want to wish is that you have emerged. And they loved us just as we love them! To friends we want to say that they are steep, and they are among the principal, who give us inspiration. And for family want to say thank you for your understanding, which is sometimes wildly missing!

Cheers. Across The Obsession.

My biggest thanks to Vlad and the rest of his crew, for taking the time! Thanks a lot guys

Please help spreading word for these guys! Unexplored talents!

xo. Hendrik!

Promotion #6: Across The Obsession

Origin: Russia
Genre: Post-Hardcore/Instrumental/Metal
For fans of: Between The Buried An Me, Thomas Giles

This band is the side project of my friend Vlad, from the Metalcore band "Drops Of Heart" from Russia.
The project startet under the name "Isolation Theory" in 2009 as solo project, by the guitarist Vlad.
After some genre changes and some new members came in, they finally chnaged their name to "Across The Obsession".
Actually they have some free Downloads at Last.FM, with instrumental works. But after reading in actual line up on their brand new founded Facebook site, i saw there will be some vocals in future too!

Their music is hard to describe and there is no really fitting genre for it. Actually the mainband of Vlad, Drops Of Heart, plays really techy metalcore and on my knowledge i know which bands Vlad actually is loving.
This is something really great and different you should check out! Music from the heart, but also hard as hell, haha!
These guys will bring something great! As usual for the russian metal scene.

Be sure to check them out!
An interview with these guys and with Drops Of Heart will come also!

Cheers! And please, please support and like these guys! You will not regret it!
