Review:
"Home" is the first release from this melodic hardcore band from UK.
The EP kicks in with the song Homes on first position of the tracklist.
The lyrics in this song are really well written. The vocals harmonize so well with the music.
The riff changing fits so well, there are good melodies and the song has so many sing along parts.
For example:
"So if you’ve severed your ties,
then why do you still call this home?
So if we’ve severed our ties,
will this be home?"
The second song of this EP is called Visions. It starts with a good fast melody. The guitarists must have played around so long to build this song. Up to this song, you can already say, this is melodic hardcore at it's finest. The change from hardcore riffing into harmonized riffs is so breathtaking.
This song is about friendship (if i got it right) and it might be helpful for those who don't understand the real meaning of it!
Transcend is the third song. I probably have to note you, that you have a mistake in the file. The song in there is called Trancsend ;)
To the song. It is a bit more aggressive, yet it's held melodic. Faster and harder riffing.
Last song is called "Best Of Intensions".
Probably the worst thing is, that this is the last song. The song is the most melodic in my opinion on the cd.
In the middle there is an interlude, including the most famous part of the movie Network 1976. I want you get mad.
It fits well and leads into an more aggressive outro part of the song.

Spires is such a good band. They play their music very well. The lyrics are wonderful.
I will really enjoy listening to this cd more and more and hope you will have some more stuff for us all soon!
